Okay it might not be as exciting as Haley Joel Osment’s ability to see dead people, but it is still pretty cool. I hear voices. Well, actually, I only hear one voice in my head. It sounds a lot like the voice that comes out of my mouth when I talk. But it has this really curious ability to steer me towards things I wouldn’t normally do. And the results are nothing short of spectacular!

Today I was shopping for a new bag to carry my netbook (and other things) in. I was a bit frustrated. The one shop that was dedicated entirely to bags in this town closed down. I went to a few electronics and office supply stores but their bags were too large and somewhat expensive. This voice in the back of my head told me to go to this discount store in town. I dismissed the idea. “They won’t have anything.” But the voice was very insistent. So I decided to check it out. And there – outside of the store, on display – was the perfect “Laptop/Document Bag” for the lovely price of $15.

About a month ago the same voice told me to go to this cafe that I hadn’t been to in probably eight years. So I walk in and then I’m greeted by this chef I used to work with (and one of the funniest people I’ve ever known).

It is really uncanny when I follow the instructions my pysche gives me.

I guess the lesson here is to trust your intuition. It knows things you might not!
