John that was an amazing post! It was very well written and I found it extremely entertaining
As I read from #1 to #5 I was highly entertained with it... Then I read 6 and was just blown away by the fact that someone has said that they love something about me. I was saddened when I finished 7, why? Because one of the most amazing blog posts I've ever read just ended.

Thank you John, this post has made my year!

1. I completely understand - I'm not as entrenched in the blog/video/podcast world as you, but I still recognize they are very (for me at least) personal expressions. And sadly, family is not always the ideal audience for such expressions.
2. Wow, very impressive John, really. I haven't heard any of your songs (but guess where I'm headed next?), but that you have the internal strength to pursue something of great personal value despite naysayers says a lot about you.
3. I don't want to grow up.
4. Haven't delved into Youtube much, but your description of the world wide web is spot on and I love to think of it that way. Do you think that's bound to change? With the growth of everything internet, will there naturally be a segmentation? The breaking down of the whole into smaller parts? And does that take away from the experience?
5. I played that game (ouija) when I was about 9 years old and it scared me to death. Never played again, and I see that pattern continuing for the duration.
6. I think for creative people, this is natural. Life isn't so rigid as to allow for only 'our' way of thinking. We (and I'm counting myself in the 'creative' camp - which is quite a departure for me, actually) recognize the value in different thought processes, ideas, expressions, etc.
7. I'm a rat. :)

Cheers.
