Someone left me a message on the post it note (on my myspace page). Apparently they miss my blogs. I miss them too… sometimes. I even try to write the occasional one. But it scarcely works out.
Where have I been? The easy answer is ‘around.’ I took ill around 3am on Thursday morning. I’ll spare you the details. But I was delirious for the better part of two days. The first I couldn’t sleep, at all. I laid in my bed with the light on, just trying to keep warm. The second day I couldn’t do much beyond sleep. And come Saturday, I felt normal again.
… Unfortunately Sunday arrived, and I fell asleep around 11am and didn’t wake until 4pm. And then couldn’t sleep at all during the night.
Today, in spite of everything, was a truly glorious day. Even parking the car a decent distance and walking felt like a triumph after days of being tied to the bed or lounge. Sushi for lunch. They even played VITRIOL (best song ever; see profile, lol) on the radio on the way home and [I] sang loudly like an idiot in my car. It made me happy. I hadn’t been happy in a very long time.
I’m trying to make the effort to be silly, to have more fun. To laugh a lot. I tend to be serious all the time. Nervous tension is absorbed into my body as if I were a sponge; and it all filters down to my lower back. The truth is if I don’t learn to laugh, if I don’t learn to relax, if I don’t learn to let go… I will likely reach a point where I won’t be able to walk anymore. I wish that WERE a joke. But I’m learning. Slowly, I’m learning.
The YouTube stuff is weird; I [am] really not feeling articulate enough to find any better word. People from far flung corners of the globe seem to know who I am. People with 60,000 subscribers make impromptu stops by my stickam room. Tubegranny left a comment on my SnapVine voice message facility. A user by the name of LisaSimpson left a comment that inspired my latest video…. which I’ll post below.
But the most startingly profile comment appeared after I saw a video I liked and subscribed to someone.
Uh, yeah. Why did you subscribe to me?
Just asking….
Like a God? Woah. When did THAT happen?
But my most favourite thing I think is when ItalianGuyFromNY wore his JOJ tshirt to work and when asked about it described me as “An Australian Filmmaker.” Shucks!
