Dear Blog,
It’s not you, it’s me… I needed some time away. I needed some time to find myself again.
Yes it’s true that I’ve been hanging out with that other website, the one at JohnOfJordan.com. But we’re just friends, I swear. I still love you. I mean, I will always love you.
I don’t have the stamina to write a whole post in this fashion, but I did want to touch base with you lovely people and just let you know about what is happening in my life and why you won’t see much content on this site this week.
I’ve been working on the JohnOfJordan website. I started a new podcast, the JOJCAST, and have found the whole process very exciting. It is available via the website or alternatively you can subscribe from within iTunes. As someone who listens to a lot of podcasts via iTunes it is so exciting to have been accepted into the iTunes directory.
My first guest was MG Phenom and it was such a pleasure to talk to him. It is funny but he is someone I’ve known for over a year and who I consider to be a friend, but I learnt so much about him in the half hour that I spoke to him.
The Sydney YouTube Gathering is happening this Saturday and unfortunately I am unable to attend (for reasons we’ll get to in a moment). I will be in Sydney on Thursday and Friday, and am looking forward to catching up with a small number of my YouTube friends during this time. (Specifically Leuke, Rob, Chris, Rohan, Mitto, Greg and Loz.)
I am a little disappointed that I cannot attend the gathering, however… blood is thicker than subscriptions. This Saturday – as well as being the date of a gathering – is also my sister’s birthday and my grandparents’ 50th wedding anniversary. This will be an opportunity to see a lot of extended family members I haven’t seen in some time and I am looking forward to it. I’m also working on some secret things that will be used in the proceedings over the weekend celebrations too.

So unfortunately I won’t be updating this blog again (probably) until next week. I am particularly disappointed that I will miss the Sensational Sabbath column but I assure you it shall return the following week.
